Frequently Asked Questions

Planning & Design
What’s the first step in building a custom sauna?

We start with a consultation to understand your vision, space, and goals. From there, we’ll help you choose the right size, style, materials, and features to suit your needs.

Yes — we offer custom solutions for both.

Every build is tailored. Common sizes range from 4-person to 6-person saunas. Layouts can be traditional or unique, depending on your space, ventilation, and preferred bench configurations.

Highly customizable. You can choose wood types, heaters (electric, wood-burning, or infrared), lighting, glass panels, and more.

Not always. For standard builds, we create the design internally.

Traditional saunas heat the air, creating a high-temperature environment. Infrared saunas use radiant heat to warm the body directly at lower temperatures.

Construction & Installation
How long does it take to build a custom sauna?

Build time typically ranges from 2 to 4 weeks once materials are sourced and plans are finalized. Timelines may vary depending on complexity and location.

Very important. Proper ventilation ensures balanced airflow, comfort, and long-term sauna performance.

No plumbing is required for most saunas. Exceptions may include custom designs with automatic water dispenser and water tap.

After Installation
Is maintenance required for a custom sauna?

Yes, but it’s minimal. Wipe surfaces regularly and periodically clean benches and floors with a mild solution with few drops of eucalyptus oil.

With proper care, a high-quality custom sauna will last 20+ years. Durable materials and thoughtful construction help ensure longevity.

Yes, we offer warranties on both materials and workmanship. Specific terms depend on the components selected and the scope of your build.

Using a Sauna
How often should I use a sauna?

Most users benefit from 2–4 sessions per week.

Typical sessions range from 10 to 15 minutes. Experienced users may stay up to 20 minutes, but always listen to your body.

Traditional saunas range from 65°C to 90°C. Infrared saunas operate at lower temperatures, around 50°C to 65°C.

Saunas can support weight loss and boost metabolism, but are most effective when combined with healthy habits.

If you have cardiovascular issues, are pregnant, or have chronic conditions, consult your healthcare provider before use.

Dehydration and overheating are the main risks. Stay hydrated, limit time inside, and cool down afterward.
